BATH STAND UP PADDLEBOARD ADVENTURES

10AM CITY SUP ADVENTURE £39 - 2 Hours Our paddle boarding adventure is the perfect way to experience Bath from a different perspective. You will explore hidden parts of Bath along the stunning Kennet & Avon canal; enjoying panoramic views over the City, paddling past Georgian merchant warehouses, seeing the famous Widcombe locks before journeying through 19th Century canal tunnels past the stunning Georgian Sydney Gardens under the iconic white cast iron footbridges. The wildlife safari paddle starts as you paddle towards Bathampton where you can expect to see Kingfishers, Grey Herons & other wildlife dependent on the time of year before finishing with some 'Paddle Board Skills Games' along the way to show off your newly developed SUP skills.

What to expect? On arrival you will be provided with a safety brief before introducing to your Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding equipment. The fun begins here as we show you how to get on your board and progress from a kneeling to stand up position. Once you are happy in a kneeling or standing position we will start the adventure along the water.

Safety & Booking Requirement:

• To be able to take part in this experience you will need to be confident in water and be able to swim a minimum of 15 metres in wet clothing.

• Please note the minimum age for this activity is 13 years of age & all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Booking includes:

• Price - £39 per person including SUP, leash, paddle and PFD
• Group Sizes - We have a maximum ratio of 1 guide to 6 clients
• Level – Easy
• Location - Bath Narrow Boats, Sydney Wharf, BA24EL - 10 Minute walk from Pulteney Bridge in the city centre.
• Start & Finish Timings – Morning sessions start at 10am with each tour taking 2 hours. During busy period we will also have 2pm session, please check the booking calendar for availability.

We provide a 10 litre dry bag to store warm clothing and valuables.

• Neoprene booties or trainers
• Spare lightweight warm top (lightweight fleece)
• Waterproof or Splash jacket
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellant
• Waterbottle or water reservoir
• Money - If time permits there maybe the chance for a quick cafe stop. You will need cash as well as a credit card due to some locations only taking cash.
• We don't provide wetsuits, however, please feel free to bring your own if you feel the cold.

Please note that we do not have changing facilities, you will need to arrive dressed for the activity.

How to find us

We are located opposite the Tesco Express store on Bathwick Hill under the canal bridge at Bath Narrow Boats. We can be reached through the gates marked on the map, please follow signs to Bath Narrow Boats. If you're still struggling to find us, wave at us from the bridge opposite the Tesco Express!

Transport Links:

• Walking - We are a 15 minute walk from the centre of town. 
• Driving - There are 5 main car parks in Bath close to us, please take walking time into account as parking in Bath can be a challenge - Bath Cricket Club & Bath Leisure Centre (10 minute walk), Manvers Street Car Park (15 minute walk), Southgate Shopping Centre Car Park (20 minute walk) and Avon Street Car Park (25 minute walk). Please be aware that the area around Bath Narrow Boats is mostly residents parking only, we do not advise trying to park locally as this may result in you being late and missing your tour.
• Park & Ride - There are 3 park & ride facilities in Bath - Lansdown Park & Ride, Newbridge Park & Ride and Odd Down Park & Ride.
• Taxi - It costs approximately £5 for a taxi from Bath Spa train station
• Public transport - The following buses stop at St Mary’s Church within a 2 minute walk from our location at Bath Narrow Boats - 94, 175, 287, U1, U1X and X86
