Join us for our all-women paddleboarding lesson and adventure day in Bath. Perfect for those new to the sport or looking to refine their skills, this full-day adventure is designed to immerse you in the world of SUP in a supportive, fun and welcoming setting!
On arrival, you will receive a safety briefing before being introduced to your Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boarding equipment. Our expert, friendly coaches are passionate about paddleboarding and committed to making your experience enjoyable and rewarding.
You’ll start on your knees and rise to your feet when you’re ready. There’s no rush—our goal is for you to feel confident and comfortable on the water.

Adventure by SUP, what you need to know?

WHAT LEVEL OF SUP SKILL IS REQUIRED?
You don’t need any previous experience to join as our instructor will guide you through everything you need to know to paddle confidently on the water, and all essential equipment is provided. We’ll go at a relaxed pace, taking in the captivating surroundings as we go. Plus the downstream direction we’ll be taking means this should be a calm and comfortable day out on the water.
If you’ve done paddleboarding before, you’ll definitely still get something from this adventure as you’ll find our SUP route to be an unmissably gorgeous one, no matter your experience level! do i need to be able to swim?
You don't need to be a strong swimmer, but you must be able to swim 50m for safety. You will be provided with a buoyancy aid.
what about all the kit required?
The majority of the equipment required for your SUP is provided by us. If you need to purchase any outdoor equipment prior to you paddle with us 'Bath Outdoors' bike, outdoor & watersports shop provide a 10% discount and are happy to advise on your requirements. They will ship to you or you can pick up on arrival for your adventure.

The instructor was great and explained everything clearly. He was very encouraging but not pressuring at all, and he was lots of fun. The location was beautiful and we had fun trying out some different ‘tricks’ on the board, even paddling through some rapids which wasn’t as scary as it sounds! I’m so glad I tried something different and booked this day. Thoroughly recommend! |
Kit & EquipmentWe provide most of the kit you'll need, you start/finish your adventure at a specialist bike, outdoor & watersports shop in Bath if you want to buy some shiny new kit. You can contact the team at Bath Outdoors if you have any questions over the kit list.

Route InformationThis is a must paddle route in the UK. Once you have mastered standing up on the board you'll paddle the Avon past kingfishers, signs of beaver activity and chance encounters with other river wildlife. A stunning, quiet boat free section of paddling water!

Our start/finish point is located at our private launch site in Batheaston. We're a 10-15 minute taxi from the Bus and Bath Spa Train Station. There are also electric bikes and scooters available at the train station allowing you to get to us on vehicle free routes. There are park and ride facilities in Bath and overnight private car parks. There are parking facilities at the public car park in Batheaston next to our launch site.
