Full Day Adventure - Suitable For All Abilities - Enquire Now For Availability
This is a unique adventure in Bath allowing you to experience this amazing city and the surrounding Cotswold countryside in a single activity. You'll start by riding the iconic Two Tunnels cycling from Bath where you'll cycle into the Southern Cotswolds on a converted Victorian Railway through 2.4 kilometres of cycling tunnels (including Europe's longest the Combe Down Tunnel). Having left the Dorset & Somerset Railway path it's the perfect time to stop for refreshments at the Angelfish Cafe set on the Somerset Coals Canal. You'll then cycle back along the Midford and Avon valleys along the Kennet & Avon Canal cycle path crossing the Georgian built Dundas Aqueduct enjoying the beauty of rural woodland and farm pasture on the way to the beginning of your paddle board adventure.
We'll stop at the riverside Bathampton Mill for an optional lunch stop at the pub before swapping your bikes for paddle boards. Don't worry if you've never paddle boarded before, you'll start your adventure with a lesson at the stunning Bathampton Weir from your qualified instructor. We also have Mega SUPs (Multi-Person SUPs) & kayaks available. After your lesson you'll cruise down river into Bath seeing the city and surrounding hills from a unique perspective. Wildlife is abundant along this stretch of the river with the opportunity to see the Kingfishers, Herons, Beaver, Otter and Cormorants which make this stretch of the city their home. You will passing under numerous bridges including the Cleveland ironwork bridge built in 1826 on the site of a Roman ferry crossing. From this Victorian industrial era bridge you'll next paddle under the beautiful Pulteney Bridge one of the few remaining living bridges in the world and a great photo stop.
Get ready to paddle through the centre of the city with lots of admiring views from other visitors who flock to Pulteney Bridge and Weir for a must do photo when visiting Bath. We'll cruise past bath Rugby Club, Bath Abbey and Parade Gardens before finishing your adventure where you started.
